Quoit Broken Vase, L

The gourd form vase is a beautiful vehicle for this concept of bangles or rings that vary around the swelling form. Using a mixture of materials, the vase becomes more and more interesting as you get closer and look into the craquelure, gilding and mother-of-pearl lines. Similar combinations were used occasionally during the Art Deco era but only on very small objects. We want these materials to be large and strong and gorgeous to the touch. They will grow old with a lovely oxidation and lustre as they are used and handled.
